Apple Cider Vinegar is a type of vinegar made from fermenting the juice of apples. Yeast and bacteria break down the natural sugars within the juice, turning them into alcohol. The Mother - a collection of bacteria - is formed during this process which then converts the alcohol into acetic acid, the active ingredient in vinegar. The Mother is what gives vinegar its cloudy appearance. The juice used in Healthspan's Apple Cider Vinegar tablets is from freshly pressed, specially selected orchard apples, and delivers 500mg of apple cider vinegar extract per tablet.

Chromium is also included in the formula which contributes to the macronutrient metabolism and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, and zinc. That contributes to the metabolism of carbohydrates and fatty acids.
